Online Banking Security

Your online security has always been a top priority for NVE Bank. On September 27, 2006, your online banking experience was upgraded with a new optional security service to further help protect you from identity theft and online fraud. From August 1, 2007 to ensure all our customers are taking advantage of this very important Online Banking security feature, enrollment in “Enhanced Login Security” has now been made mandatory.

Meet Enhanced Login Security

Introducing new Enhanced Login Security, a free and easy way to help prevent fraud. This superior security technology helps to protect your accounts from unauthorized access.

This new security service available September 27, 2006 is free, easy, and most importantly, gives you extra protection from fraud and identity theft. It provides an additional factor for user authentication. Sign up once and you're all set. It’s that simple – the next time you log in, it’s business as usual.

Enhanced Login Security identifies you as the true “owner” of your accounts. Now, not only will your password be recognized, your computer will be recognized as well. If we don’t recognize your computer – you’ve logged in from a public computer or one you haven’t used before you will be prompted to provide information that only you will know (Challenge Questions) as an additional line of defense against unauthorized access to your accounts.

Enhanced Login Security is just one more way to prevent fraud, protect against identity theft, and strengthen your online security as a whole.

Enhanced Login Security will:

  • Defend against identity theft and fraud.
  • Provide added security for you from any computer, wherever you are.
  • Make it easy for you with one-time sign-up and convenient access.

Just another example of NVE Bank’s commitment to fraud prevention, everyday and everywhere

Challenge Questions - Enhanced Login Security and “Forgot your Password?”

On September 27, 2006 all Online Banking users will be required to reset their Forgotten Password Validation questions with 2 Challenge Questions. These questions and answers will be used for identification for both online banking Password reset via the “Forgot your Password” links on the Login Page as well as for the Enhanced Login Security feature.

Enhanced Login Security

We understand how important it is to you to be able to access your accounts online when you need to, no matter where you are currently at. If we don’t recognize the computer that you are using to access Online Banking, you will be prompted to answer the 2 challenge questions you setup.

This will ensure that you are the true authorized person trying to gain online access to your NVE Bank accounts. Answering the questions will gain you temporary access to your accounts online from that particular computer. To allow continued access from the said computer you can choose to enroll (add the security to) that computer. In future you can un-enroll that computer if you will no longer use it to access your accounts online.

Forgot your Password?

We understand how important it is to you to be able to access your accounts online when you need to, no matter where you are currently at. These questions will be used for identification in the event you forget your Online Banking password and also if we don’t recognize the computer that you are using (Enhanced Login Security feature) to access Online Banking.

It can be frustrating to get locked out after business hours when you can't call us for help. Now you can unlock yourself if you get locked out due to bad login attempts by clicking the option, “Forgot your Password” to reset yourself from our login page. Just provide the two answers to the questions you had setup and you will be able to reset the password to whatever you wish.

Therefore, please submit the two challenge question(s) when prompted after logging in to Online Banking on or after September 27, 2006. Just select the most suitable questions, type in an answer that you will easily remember, verify your email address for us, and you're done!
