NVE Bank Walks For Awareness

NVE Bank employees and their family members recently participated in the 10th Annual WALK FOR AWARENESS: Our Fight Against Breast Cancer hosted by Englewood Hospital on Sunday, October 26th at Englewood Field Club in Englewood, NJ. 

NVE Bank had over 13 participants who walked the 5-K to promote the importance of early diagnosis and raised funds to benefit Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s Breast Care Center.  NVE also had a water-stop along the 5-K route at their Highwood branch located at:  42 West Hudson Avenue.

NVE Bank at the 2008 Bergen Bike Tour

NVE Bank employees and their family members recently participated in the 13th Annual Bergen Bike Tour on Sunday, September 28th at Darlington Park in Mahwah, NJ. NVE Bank had over 12 participants who chose from a 50, 25 or 10 mile bike ride to help raise funds, which benefit the Volunteer Center of Bergen County and Tomorrows Children’s Fund at Hackensack University Medical Center. NVE Bank Supports the Art Center of Northern New Jersey

NVE Bank recently made a donation towards the 6th Annual Bergen County Senior Juried Art Show and their support went towards the awards for the winning professional and non-professional artists. "We are delighted to lend assistance to the local charities and non-profit organizations in our area," noted Robert Monteith, President & CEO of NVE Bank.

The Senior Art Show was held from July 20th through August 13, 2008 and was free of charge to the public. The Reception for the winning artists was held on July 20th and the exhibit was sponsored by the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, in cooperation with the Bergen County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services.

"The Art Center is most grateful to NVE Bank for their support of the Art Center, their contribution of award money and to their representative John D. Louglas," said Mary Yim Kliauga, 1st Vice President of the Art Center. "This art show is a great exhibit, showing a variety of works, of senior artists that reside in Bergen County."


NVE Bank Grants $1,000 Scholarships to Local Students

NVE Bank hosted their 1st Annual Scholarship Reception on June 17th where they awarded nine scholarships to graduating seniors from the local area. NVE Bank’s Scholarship Program was commenced to give back to the communities they serve while trying to alleviate some of the costs associated with a college education.

NVE Bank’s scholarship recipients included; Kelly Walsh-Bergenfield High School, Kaitlyn Oldewurtle-Cresskill High School, Drew Michel-Northern Valley Demarest, Sherron Tynan-Leonia High School, Joyce Gambrah-Teaneck High School, Brittany Shepard-Dwight Morrow High School, Briel Waxman-Tenafly High School & Thomas Montecuollo-New Milford High School.
